Table Talk: Lindsey Lynch

Table Talk with Lindsey Lynch

Fabulous Upper West Sider and woman behind the lens at LINDSEYBELLE Photography, Lindsey Lynch is known for her effervescent energy, permanent smile and contagious laugh.

A dear friend of founder Lindsey Boyd’s for over ten years, the pair met through mutual friends and immediately connected over their shared alma mater, Cornell University. Since then, Lindsey Lynch has been the resident photographer at The Laundress… and now Rondel. Her unique photography style always results in the most incredible photos, making image selections a difficult task.

Now, this pair of Lindseys are best friends. As Lindsey Boyd says, “She’s my resident hype woman. Whenever you need a pick me up, Lindsey is your girl!”

Read on for a little Table Talk with our Rond Table Guest, Lindsey Lynch.

My first camera was...

A point and shoot when I was five years old. I have an album with cute pictures that I took of my dolls and toys. I have always been in love with cameras and photographs and capturing memories.

The people seated at my rond table are...

The people seated at my family rond table are my husband Michael, my children Stella and Liam, and my dog Gizmo. And all of my amazing friends and family!!!!! If I could invite people who I don’t know but deeply admire, I would invite Jane Goodall, Malala, Daphne Sheldrick, Natalie Portman, Morgan Harper Nichols and Cleo Wade.

I am inspired by…

Kind people. The wild ocean. Beautiful clothes. Stunning jewelry. Children’s artwork.

My favorite thing to photograph is…

My children. My photographs of my children are the most treasured things I create.

If I weren’t a photographer, I’d be…

A doctor! I was planning on becoming a doctor like three of my four grandparents, and I changed my mind while I was at Cornell.

When there’s down time, you’ll find me...

Taking pictures, learning the violin, horseback riding, writing letters to my amazing friends and skiing in the winter.

One thing on my bucket list is…

Safari to Africa to photograph and watch the animals.

If I were a song, I’d be…

“Holdin' my own” by Eric Church.

A fun quarantine activity we’ve been doing is…

Cooking a lot together. And playing tennis!

Our holidays will be spent…

In East Hampton baking cookies, having outdoor time with friends, watching movies and singing and dancing around the house!

Something about me you may not know is…

One of my favorite things to collect are beautiful writing pens. I love to write letters to my friends.

My mantra is…

Kindness is magic.

A family pass-down I cherish the most is...

My grandmother’s fancy Montblanc fountain pen. She used to only write with turquoise ink, and I loved watching her write with this pen. She gave it to me about 20 years ago, and it is my most prized possession.

My story, my style in a word…

Fun. Hip. Classic. With a touch of WOW.

The Rondel piece that speaks to me...

The Rondel Cirque Dot Trim Locket speaks to me! It is so classic and timeless, and there is nothing I love more than putting special photographs of my favorite people around my neck. My two grandmothers passed away in the last six months, and I wear their pictures in my Rondel locket which is just so special.
